Hello!
To begin, I’ll like to say that this is neither a democratic nor pluralistic domain. It embraces democratic principles and so was elected through a one-party rule. The blog was brought to life and is continually sustained by a single life-giving source who holds absolute sovereignty and power over it. One can only guess that you’re probably on this page because you’re just curious about the tyrant behind this blog.
But for the benevolent dictator on the left, somehow this “about page” is the most boring part of the blog. I think it’s far less thrilling for me to give the game away. I’d rather you’ll read and discover who I am instead of reading directly what Agnes, who is still reading Political Science at University of Melbourne, describes herself as. These days, you really can’t trust what you read or see.
See the header of this blog? That’s one of my favourite kinds of fish – cod fish. MMM. I love eating fish – raw, half-cooked, fully-cooked, and anything but rotten and freshwater fish. I dislike the muddy, swampy and sodium taste of those freshwater fishes, and unless you’re a skilled chef, I suggest keep away from those boney fishes. It’s like they’re malnourished or something. But I’ll eat if it’s good.
I am best and am usually used as a litmus test for a dining choice. Truth. Am not lying. My family and friends have this tendency to ask themselves, ‘Would Agnes eat here?’ before deciding whether they’ll step into a certain restaurant. If a dish doesn’t live up to its expectation, they’ll say, ‘Oh gosh, yucks, Agnes won’t eat this,’ and depending on how wasteful they are or palatable that dish is, then they’ll either push the plate aside or swallow it really fast.
True stories… so I’ve been told these little anecdotes when people dine without me, when I’m busy being all nerdy reading up on these learned men or favourite disciplines of mine:
Adam Smith, Anarchism, Autarchy, Binary Code, Bovine, Climate Change, Critical Theory, Cuisine, Current Affairs, Dialectics, Discourses, Diving, Economics, Edward Said, Environmental Politics, Epicurism, Exploration, Foreign Policy, Gastronomy, Harold Lasswell, International Relations, Jacques-Jean Rousseau, John Maynard Keynes, John Stuart Mill, Joseph Stiglitz, Knowledge, Leather, Mahjong, Mainstream religions, Marshall McLuhan, Marxism, Max Horkheimer, Michel Foucault, Milton Friedman, Media, Nationalism, Neo-Liberalism, Niccolo Machiavelli, Oceans, Peoples’ Republic of China, Photography, Political Philosophy, Political Science, Power, Robert Dahl, Reading, Socialism, Sovereignty, Technocracy, Travelling, The Frankfurt School, The Third Way, Underwater, United States of America, Vast expanse of water, Water, Vladimir Lenin.
Visit agneskoh.wordpress.com to acquaint yourself with the other interests of mine or, go there to see the exact profile photo in black and white – it’s a lot cooler in that, but I’m fussy about colours schemes and coordination. This colourful blog with nice pictures deserves a bright profile picture. That a bit more ‘intellectual’, dark-coloured theme blog goes well with a monotone photo.
Am I very longwinded? You think? You really think so? Catch me on Twitter then. I promise to keep my yaks to 140 characters.
